Stephen Corby
Stephen Corby has been a journalist for more than 35 years and a Dad for 11 (that’s how old his son, Connor is, while daughter Emma is seven). After starting out as a serious crime reporter on The Canberra Times, Stephen’s career became steadily more fun focused as he moved to London to work on Fleet Street, returned to Sydney to churn words in the features departments of The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph, and then somehow stumbled into being the launch editor of Top Gear Australia magazine and subsequently editor of Wheels magazine. With full-time work now far behind him, Stephen has been a freelancer for dozens of titles – writing about cars, fatherhood, travel, architecture, business and plenty else besides. He says the single best thing about working from home is being able to do the school run every day, although he could do without packing the lunches.
